Nino. 18 Days, directed by Tony D’Angelo, premiered Out of Competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival.
The documentary follows Nino D’Angelo as he prepares for a concert-event marking his return to the stage, intertwining artistic and family dimensions in an essential, intimate, and truthful narrative.
Filmed between Naples, Rome, and the places of his childhood, the film explores the father–son relationship through glances, memories, and pauses where memory becomes present.
The Venice screening — attended by the director, the D’Angelo family, and production partners — received a long standing ovation and drew strong attention from the accredited press.
